Q-Is there an age limit to go thru the haunt?

A- The Haunt is HIGHLY recommended for 13 and up but anyone under 12 may go through if accompanied by an adult. We have grown adults come through that pee their pants in fear every night.

Q- How much is it?

A- $20 Regular Tickets and $35 Fast Passes (limited number of fast passes will be available- only 20 per hour)

Q-What days are you open and what hours?

A- We are open every FRIDAY and SATURDAY in October. Season 2025 starts October 3rd! Ticket sales start around 7 and the haunt starts when it’s completely dark. The last tickets are sold at 11 and we run until the last group goes through no matter how late!

Q-How do I pay for my ticket?

A- You pay at the gate but we do take cash or credit/debit card! We do not presell tickets to ensure our customers dont get scammed by people selling fake tickets.

Q-What is a “touch pass”?

A- Touch passes are for people over 18 looking for a more extreme scare. The actors CAN actually touch, grab and sometimes even separate you from your group! $5 additional fee to add a touch pass to either ticket

Q-Where is parking?

We are on the same land as Sunshine Shellys pumpkin patch but ran separately! Our parking is just NORTH of the pumpkin patch parking lot (North is driving away from I-40 like you are heading to meeker). You should see our signs by the entry.

Q-How will I know if you closed due to weather?

A- PLEASE CHECK OUR FACEBOOK before hou head out!!! We keep our Facebook updated with posts on if we will have to close due to current or recent storms! If we are open and it’s rained that week- PLEASE wear old shoes, rain boots or something that can possibly get muddy! Just because it isn’t very muddy in your yard in the city doesn’t mean our farmed land won’t be. - Trust me, I’ve learned the hard way!

Q- What is a fast pass?

A-Fast passes get you into an express line. You jump to the front of the line. We only sell a limited number of fast passes per hour to ensure the regular line can still run at a decent pace.

Bingo Saturdays

Saturday bingo is open to the public. Kids are welcome, but must stay with parents.

Doors open at 5:30 PM. Our ladies auxiliary serve food and drinks.

Mini games start at 6:00 PM for $1.00 each game. Main Packs start at 7:00 PM for $15.00, with specials at $1.00 each. Main games pay minimum of $30, but go up with more players.

Nearly 50 actors will be waiting throughout the trail to give you one final night of frights before the season ends. If you haven’t made it out yet—or just want one more round of screams—this is your moment!

What to Know:

• Wear old clothes and closed-toed shoes (you’ll be walking nearly a mile of uneven terrain).

• Don’t expect to stay clean — there’s a good chance you’ll leave with a little blood on you!

Starting every Thursday I will be giving sewing classes! The class begins @ $45.00 prices go up depending upon projects !

FAQ:

Q-Is there an age limit to go thru the haunt?

A- The Haunt is HIGHLY recommended for 13 and up but anyone under 12 may go through if accompanied by an adult. We have grown adults come through that pee their pants in fear every night.

Q- How much is it?

A- $20 Regular Tickets and $35 Fast Passes (limited number of fast passes will be available- only 20 per hour)

Q-What days are you open and what hours?

A- We are open every FRIDAY and SATURDAY in October. Season 2025 starts October 3rd! Ticket sales start around 7 and the haunt starts when it’s completely dark. The last tickets are sold at 11 and we run until the last group goes through no matter how late!

Q-How do I pay for my ticket?

A- You pay at the gate but we do take cash or credit/debit card! We do not presell tickets to ensure our customers dont get scammed by people selling fake tickets.

Q-What is a “touch pass”?

A- Touch passes are for people over 18 looking for a more extreme scare. The actors CAN actually touch, grab and sometimes even separate you from your group! $5 additional fee to add a touch pass to either ticket

Q-Where is parking?

We are on the same land as Sunshine Shellys pumpkin patch but ran separately! Our parking is just NORTH of the pumpkin patch parking lot (North is driving away from I-40 like you are heading to meeker). You should see our signs by the entry.

Q-How will I know if you closed due to weather?

A- PLEASE CHECK OUR FACEBOOK before hou head out!!! We keep our Facebook updated with posts on if we will have to close due to current or recent storms! If we are open and it’s rained that week- PLEASE wear old shoes, rain boots or something that can possibly get muddy! Just because it isn’t very muddy in your yard in the city doesn’t mean our farmed land won’t be. - Trust me, I’ve learned the hard way!

Q- What is a fast pass?

A-Fast passes get you into an express line. You jump to the front of the line. We only sell a limited number of fast passes per hour to ensure the regular line can still run at a decent pace.

How Much is an NSCA Membership?

The current cost is $50.00 per year. We have free memberships we give out to anyone wanting to try. All you need to do is come to our club on tournament day and ask for the free membership form. This will give you the ability to try out NSCA events for no membership fees the 1st year.

What time do tournaments start?

​

Our tournaments generally open at 9am and close at 5pm. We do open a little earlier when it is hot outside maybe a little later in cooler weather. We update NSCA shooters via email the week before the tournament as to the open time. You can join our email list if you like to know more.

Why does it cost more to shoot tournament targets?

​

Essentially it is like you and your buddies renting the course privately for the morning. We must also completely change the targets for these events. We then have to pay for additional labor to help run the shoot.

NSCA gets a cut, currently $4.00 per 100, and OK sporting clays association gets a cut, $2.00 per 100.

So, we have to create a custom set of targets and pay funds to others outside of what we normally would if you showed up on a practice day. There is also a risk, we we are never certain of the exact number will show up. We basically run off our regular business in the hopes to draw a large number of registered shooters, so it has more risk for us,

Bingo Saturdays

Saturday bingo is open to the public. Kids are welcome, but must stay with parents.

Doors open at 5:30 PM. Our ladies auxiliary serve food and drinks.

Mini games start at 6:00 PM for $1.00 each game. Main Packs start at 7:00 PM for $15.00, with specials at $1.00 each. Main games pay minimum of $30, but go up with more players.

Nearly 50 actors will be waiting throughout the trail to give you one final night of frights before the season ends. If you haven’t made it out yet—or just want one more round of screams—this is your moment!

What to Know:

• Wear old clothes and closed-toed shoes (you’ll be walking nearly a mile of uneven terrain).

FAQ:

Q-Is there an age limit to go thru the haunt?

A- The Haunt is HIGHLY recommended for 13 and up but anyone under 12 may go through if accompanied by an adult. We have grown adults come through that pee their pants in fear every night.

Q- How much is it?

A- $20 Regular Tickets and $35 Fast Passes (limited number of fast passes will be available- only 20 per hour)

Q-What days are you open and what hours?

A- We are open every FRIDAY and SATURDAY in October. Season 2025 starts October 3rd! Ticket sales start around 7 and the haunt starts when it’s completely dark. The last tickets are sold at 11 and we run until the last group goes through no matter how late!

Q-How do I pay for my ticket?

If we are open and it’s rained that week- PLEASE wear old shoes, rain boots or something that can possibly get muddy! Just because it isn’t very muddy in your yard in the city doesn’t mean our farmed land won’t be. - Trust me, I’ve learned the hard way!

The annual event offers lessons with OBU piano faculty, workshops and performances. This year’s featured guests are the Brickle Duo, pianist Dr. David Brickle and violinist Dr. Marianna Brickle, who will present a concert on Friday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m. Dr. David Brickle will lead a piano master class on Saturday, Oct. 24.

"The event provides students with an opportunity to prepare for auditions and festivals, work with college faculty and guest artists and enjoy meeting other students passionate about the piano in a two-day, in-depth study experience,” said Dr. Mark Franklin, Burton H. Patterson Professor of Music, assistant professor of music and coordinator of keyboard studies.

Dr. David Brickle serves as associate professor of music at Milligan University, where he teaches piano and music theory. He has performed widely throughout the continental United States, Puerto Rico and internationally in Europe and has appeared in a variety of broadcasts, including National Public Radio’s “Performance Today” and ETV Radio’s “On the Keys.” He regularly serves on the faculty of Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and has taught at the MasterWorks Festival and the FSU Summer Piano Institute. He has won numerous honors and awards.

Dr. Marianna Brickle is an orchestral and chamber musician, recitalist, and educator based in Johnson City, Tennessee. She serves as adjunct professor of violin at East Tennessee State University and performs with the Asheville Symphony Orchestra. In the summer, she is on faculty at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan. Recently, she has performed with the Vienna Light Orchestra and has been credited for her playing on Benson Boone’s album Fireworks and Rollerblades and the Norah Jones and John Legend single “Summertime Blue.”

The academy includes interactive demonstrations on organ and harpsichord, individual lessons and a student recital. On-campus lodging is provided Friday night for participants who select that option. Young Eagles: Inspiring the next generation of aviators with free airplane rides!

Meeting & Presentation: Vigilant Aerospace Systems - Drones, learn about the latest developments in drone technology and applications.

EAA Chapter 1098 welcomes you to our Young Eagles Rally.

Our skilled pilots provide their time, airplane and fuel to provide free introductory flights to youth ages 8-17.

It's the only program of it's kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation.

Our pilots will provide a walk around pre-flight inspection of the airplane, identify reference points for the flight,

identify aircraft control surfaces and assist with safely buckling your child's seat belt and describe the interior of the airplane.

You child may bring a cell phone or small camera to take photos or video during the flight.

At the pilot's discretion, your child may be able to take the controls to fly.

The flight will last approximately 20 minutes around the Shawnee area.

After the flight, each child will receive a certificate of completion signed by their pilot and a log book

Meet the Pilot

The pilots who participate in the Young Eagles program are local members of EAA who are volunteering their time and aircraft to make your flight possible. Each Young Eagles pilot is certificated with the Federal Aviation Administration or Transport Canada. Flights are conducted according to federal regulations, and no aerobatic maneuvers will be performed. A pilot's complete youth protection training and vetted via a background check.

What will the pre-flight be like?

The pilot will explain what your child will see and do. This may include explaining how airplanes work, looking at an aeronautical chart (or map), and describing the interior of the airplane, including the instrument panel. Then comes the fun part: time to go flying!

Safety Reminders

Safety is always a top priority when it comes to aviation. Listen and follow instructions given by that pilot, stay away from the propellers, and stay with the pilot or ground crew at all times. Do not enter the ramp area unescorted.

What will the flight be like?

Young Eagles will spend about 15 to 20 minutes in the air and experience the awesome feeling of flight that many people only dream about. Many people remember this experience for the rest of their lives!

Bingo Saturdays

Saturday bingo is open to the public. Kids are welcome, but must stay with parents.

Doors open at 5:30 PM. Our ladies auxiliary serve food and drinks.

Mini games start at 6:00 PM for $1.00 each game. Main Packs start at 7:00 PM for $15.00, with specials at $1.00 each. Main games pay minimum of $30, but go up with more players.

Q-Is there an age limit to go thru the haunt?

A- The Haunt is HIGHLY recommended for 13 and up but anyone under 12 may go through if accompanied by an adult. We have grown adults come through that pee their pants in fear every night.

Q- How much is it?

A- $20 Regular Tickets and $35 Fast Passes (limited number of fast passes will be available- only 20 per hour)

Free to attend! The event is free to attendees thanks to funding provided by an Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Teacher Education Grant.

Three hands-on sessions will be available focused on teaching children of all ages.Breakouts include subjects such as art, math, music, reading, science, Spanish, special education and theatre. We will also go over financial support options specifically for future educators in Oklahoma such as the Inspired to Teach Scholarship and the TEACH Grant. A special breakout session for accompanying P-12 faculty and administrators are available.

FAQ:

Q-Is there an age limit to go thru the haunt?

A- The Haunt is HIGHLY recommended for 13 and up but anyone under 12 may go through if accompanied by an adult. We have grown adults come through that pee their pants in fear every night.

Q- How much is it?

A- $20 Regular Tickets and $35 Fast Passes (limited number of fast passes will be available- only 20 per hour)

Q-What days are you open and what hours?

A- We are open every FRIDAY and SATURDAY in October. Season 2025 starts October 3rd! Ticket sales start around 7 and the haunt starts when it’s completely dark. The last tickets are sold at 11 and we run until the last group goes through no matter how late!

Q-How do I pay for my ticket?

A- You pay at the gate but we do take cash or credit/debit card! We do not presell tickets to ensure our customers dont get scammed by people selling fake tickets.

Q-What is a “touch pass”?

The night before Halloween, Murder at the Ritz returns to Shawnee for an all-new evening of impossible magic, sketch comedy, improv, and a murder mystery that will unfold live on stage with the help of the audience.

The evening begins with two distinctly different journeys into the strange and impossible.

Solomon Strange takes the stage with his signature Halloween magic, followed by comedy magician John Shack, fresh off headlining the Oklahoma City Civic Center with his show Trust Issues, for a spooky set filled with comedy, magic, and things that probably shouldn't be attempted this close to Halloween.

Then the evening takes a deadly turn.
John and Solomon join forces with Schmancy Pants, the acclaimed sketch comedy group and recent runner-up for Best Performing Arts Group in Oklahoma Gazette's Best of OKC, finishing behind only the OKC Ballet and OKC Philharmonic.
Together, they'll create an interactive comedy, magic, and improv murder mystery where members of the audience become characters in the story.

And here's the fun part:
You create the characters.
Come with a character already in mind or invent one when you arrive. Give yourself a ridiculous name, an outrageous personality, a questionable occupation, a suspicious backstory, or all of the above. If you're selected to join the action, you may find yourself interrogated, implicated, or standing suspiciously close to a murder.

The performers will guide the story, but once the audience gets involved, anything can happen.
Come in costume.
Create a character.
Play along as much or as little as you'd like.
And see if you can solve Murder at the Ritz.

Q-Is there an age limit to go thru the haunt?

A- The Haunt is HIGHLY recommended for 13 and up but anyone under 12 may go through if accompanied by an adult. We have grown adults come through that pee their pants in fear every night.

Q- How much is it?

A- $20 Regular Tickets and $35 Fast Passes (limited number of fast passes will be available- only 20 per hour)

Q-What days are you open and what hours?

A- We are open every FRIDAY and SATURDAY in October. Season 2025 starts October 3rd! Ticket sales start around 7 and the haunt starts when it’s completely dark. The last tickets are sold at 11 and we run until the last group goes through no matter how late!

Q-How do I pay for my ticket?

A- You pay at the gate but we do take cash or credit/debit card! We do not presell tickets to ensure our customers dont get scammed by people selling fake tickets.

Locomotive Operators of Central Oklahoma (L.O.C.O.) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of large scale model railroading. The scale is 1.5 inches to the foot (1/8th scale) and the track gauge (distance between the rails) is 7.5 inches making the equipment large enough to ride. The organization owns and operates an outdoor railroad on five acres of land some 15 miles east of Oklahoma City. The track plan is a modified figure eight with a mainline approximately three quarters of a mile that passes over seven bridges and through an 80-foot tunnel. In addition, there is another half-mile of sidings, spurs, and yards. The mainline has a minimum radius of fifty feet and a maximum grade of three percent. Track expansions are being planned and built that will provide over one mile of continuous mainline running.

While many members own and operate a variety of miniature railroad equipment, L.O.C.O. maintains equipment for club member use. In addition to a number of passenger-carrying cars and assorted freight cars, several locomotives are kept on site. The most interesting is probably the 4-4-2 (Atlantic) steam engine, affectionately known as “Double Aught Ugly.” This locomotive is an actual coal-fired, steam-powered locomotive and takes a fair amount of “train” knowledge and instruction to operate. For those whose railroading leans toward the cleaner and more modern, there are three models of diesel-powered locomotives. One is a GP-7, an over-the-road unit, and the second is a Super Mack, which was patterned after a light-duty switcher built by the Mack Truck Company in the 1920s. Both of these locomotives are battery powered and can be operated with a minimum of knowledge and instruction. The third diesel engine the club owns is a replica of a GP-38 and uses a gasoline engine as the primary drive source.

Every Saturday morning members meet at the track to spend time working around the L.O.C.O. property or on equipment. The first Sunday of each month is reserved as a public run day when all can come out and play trains during the months of January through November. We do not have a public run in December due to our Christmas Night events. People wishing to see and ride the trains can arrive early and use the picnic tables on the grounds to eat lunch, and then enjoy riding trains from about 1 PM until 4 PM. The second Sunday of the month is reserved for club members to bring their equipment to the track and enjoy running trains with a train dispatcher that can control the movement of trains running bi-directionally (both ways at the same time) by radio dispatch. During these second Sunday run sessions, some special night time operations can also occur.

The L.O.C.O. facilities are meant to be enjoyed by everyone and can be made available for special events with children’s birthday parties topping the list. For a donation determined by the number of guests, trains (made up with “kid-sized” cars) along with qualified operators will be dedicated to the party group and ready to carry excited riders over the rails.

Saturday bingo is open to the public. Kids are welcome, but must stay with parents.

Doors open at 5:30 PM. Our ladies auxiliary serve food and drinks.

Mini games start at 6:00 PM for $1.00 each game. Main Packs start at 7:00 PM for $15.00, with specials at $1.00 each. Main games pay minimum of $30, but go up with more players.

How Much is an NSCA Membership?

​

The current cost is $50.00 per year. We have free memberships we give out to anyone wanting to try. All you need to do is come to our club on tournament day and ask for the free membership form. This will give you the ability to try out NSCA events for no membership fees the 1st year.

What time do tournaments start?

​

Our tournaments generally open at 9am and close at 5pm. We do open a little earlier when it is hot outside maybe a little later in cooler weather. We update NSCA shooters via email the week before the tournament as to the open time. You can join our email list if you like to know more.

​

Why does it cost more to shoot tournament targets?

​

Essentially it is like you and your buddies renting the course privately for the morning. We must also completely change the targets for these events. We then have to pay for additional labor to help run the shoot.

NSCA gets a cut, currently $4.00 per 100, and OK sporting clays association gets a cut, $2.00 per 100.

​

So, we have to create a custom set of targets and pay funds to others outside of what we normally would if you showed up on a practice day. There is also a risk, we we are never certain of the exact number will show up. We basically run off our regular business in the hopes to draw a large number of registered shooters, so it has more risk for us,

High summer heat is officially behind us, and we are gearing up for our favorite time of year on Main Street!

For our Main Street Shop & Stroll on October 6th, we are bringing serious sidewalk energy to match that cool fall air. We’re cooking up a night packed with:

Live Music: Local bands to be announced soon!

Pop-Up Arts Market: We’re working behind the scenes to bring local makers and artists directly to the Shop and Stroll.

And The United Way Fall Festival with bounce houses, MORE live music, a petting zoo, and pumpkin painting. Plus they'll have partner agencies and the resources they provide to our community. As a fundraiser to kick off their 2027 campaign season, they will be selling wristbands for the activities.

Of course, your favorite downtown boutiques, eateries, and drink spots will be open late with special fall arrivals, indoor air-conditioned comfort, and your chance at the $500 in Gift Certificates with the Full-Stroll Passport.

Crisp sweater weather + live tunes + local shopping? It’s the ultimate Tuesday night out.

How does the Full-Stroll Passport work? With the Full-Stroll Passport, you have the fun of visiting 10 or more shops and/or restaurants and having a chance to win gift cards and/or certificates to those very Downtown shops and restaurants. Politely ask for a stamp on your passport, shop a bit, then head to the next exciting stop! And the end of your stroll, drop your passport at the final destination to be entered in the drawing. Red Dirt Comedy Christmas Show With William Lee Martin
Get ready for a night of big laughs and holiday spirit with the Red Dirt Comedy Christmas Show with William Lee Martin & Friends at the Ritz Theater in Shawnee.

This year's festive lineup includes the hilarious MJ Moody plus a surprise musical guest, offering the perfect mix of stand-up, sketch comedy, and holiday music. It is a one-of-a-kind variety show that has become a must-see tradition.

William Lee Martin is a veteran stand-up comedian known for honest, hilarious storytelling that turns real life into big laughs. With nearly three decades on stage, William delivers comedy drawn from marriage, divorce, parenting, faith, work, and the moments we all recognize-without cheap shots, politics, or shock for shock's sake. His humor is relatable, smart, and grounded in experience, making audiences feel like they're laughing with him, not being talked at.

MJ Moody is a true professional who can bring the laughter to any situation. He is originally from Augusta GA, and got his start in comedy after retiring from the US Navy. MJ eventually moved to Dallas, TX, and rose through the comedy ranks quickly and has been getting rave reviews. His hilarious stories about his unique military experience, his family life and his take on politics have been leaving people in stitches.

Bingo Saturdays

Saturday bingo is open to the public. Kids are welcome, but must stay with parents.

Doors open at 5:30 PM. Our ladies auxiliary serve food and drinks.

Mini games start at 6:00 PM for $1.00 each game. Main Packs start at 7:00 PM for $15.00, with specials at $1.00 each. Main games pay minimum of $30, but go up with more players.

Locomotive Operators of Central Oklahoma (L.O.C.O.) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of large scale model railroading. The scale is 1.5 inches to the foot (1/8th scale) and the track gauge (distance between the rails) is 7.5 inches making the equipment large enough to ride. The organization owns and operates an outdoor railroad on five acres of land some 15 miles east of Oklahoma City. The track plan is a modified figure eight with a mainline approximately three quarters of a mile that passes over seven bridges and through an 80-foot tunnel. In addition, there is another half-mile of sidings, spurs, and yards. The mainline has a minimum radius of fifty feet and a maximum grade of three percent. Track expansions are being planned and built that will provide over one mile of continuous mainline running.

While many members own and operate a variety of miniature railroad equipment, L.O.C.O. maintains equipment for club member use. In addition to a number of passenger-carrying cars and assorted freight cars, several locomotives are kept on site. The most interesting is probably the 4-4-2 (Atlantic) steam engine, affectionately known as “Double Aught Ugly.” This locomotive is an actual coal-fired, steam-powered locomotive and takes a fair amount of “train” knowledge and instruction to operate. For those whose railroading leans toward the cleaner and more modern, there are three models of diesel-powered locomotives. One is a GP-7, an over-the-road unit, and the second is a Super Mack, which was patterned after a light-duty switcher built by the Mack Truck Company in the 1920s. Both of these locomotives are battery powered and can be operated with a minimum of knowledge and instruction. The third diesel engine the club owns is a replica of a GP-38 and uses a gasoline engine as the primary drive source.

Every Saturday morning members meet at the track to spend time working around the L.O.C.O. property or on equipment. The first Sunday of each month is reserved as a public run day when all can come out and play trains during the months of January through November. We do not have a public run in December due to our Christmas Night events. People wishing to see and ride the trains can arrive early and use the picnic tables on the grounds to eat lunch, and then enjoy riding trains from about 1 PM until 4 PM. The second Sunday of the month is reserved for club members to bring their equipment to the track and enjoy running trains with a train dispatcher that can control the movement of trains running bi-directionally (both ways at the same time) by radio dispatch. During these second Sunday run sessions, some special night time operations can also occur.

The L.O.C.O. facilities are meant to be enjoyed by everyone and can be made available for special events with children’s birthday parties topping the list. For a donation determined by the number of guests, trains (made up with “kid-sized” cars) along with qualified operators will be dedicated to the party group and ready to carry excited riders over the rails.
