4:30pm – 6:30pm (Drop in! Get there when you can; leave when you have to. Low stress.)

We have some fantastic film initiatives taking place in Shawnee.  Several groups are working on writing scripts that can be shot in Shawnee with Shawnee actors and crew. We’ve got some amazing area composers creating movie scores. Too much to list here!

Show up. Meet some cool people. Make some connections.

• We get asked for cast and crew recommendations. What do you do?
• We get location requests frequently. Can we put together a bigger group of Shawnee location scouts?
• In the future, do you want locals working in the business to share their suggestions?
• Do you want some kind of trade workshops? 
• Do you want to talk movies? 
• Any scoops on upcoming auditions or projects?
• What makes this of value to you?

Shawnee is a pilot community for the Oklahoma Music Friendly Community certification.

• The goal of this program is to expand live music opportunities across our community.
  • Incorporate live music into events. We get asked for musicians for RV Rallies and Expo events frequently.
  • Expand live music in day-to-day operations. (Think about how Owl Shoppe has added live music to their Friday night service. How can we get more restaurants or shops to hire you to come out?)
• What do you need to generate more paid gigs?
