Step Into a World of Magic: 5th Annual Secret Garden Medieval and Fantasy Fair Returns to Shawnee April 25–26

Sharpen your swords and dust off your cloaks! The Shawnee Community Art Gallery is proud to announce the return of the Secret Garden Medieval and Fantasy Fair for its fifth landmark year. This immersive, family-friendly festival will transform the open field behind the north end of the Shawnee Mall into a realm of enchantment on Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Located conveniently on I-40, Shawnee is an easy destination for travelers across the state, situated east of Oklahoma City at I-40 exits 185 & 186. Whether you are coming from Oklahoma City, Tulsa, or beyond, the gates to the Secret Garden are right off the highway.

A Weekend of Spectacle and Legend

This year’s fair promises a high-energy lineup of entertainment that blends history with high-flying fantasy:

• Aerial Mastery: Feast your eyes on Twistina, returning to the fair to perform breathtaking acrobatics on 25-foot tall aerial silks.
• Viking Lore: The Glomsdal Vikings will be on-site all weekend, showcasing Old Norse traditions, everyday Viking living, and thrilling combat displays.
• Musical Wonders: Enjoy live performances from Brendan the Bard, guitar virtuoso Josh Linville, and the Irish folk duo Éiníní, known for their traditional world music and captivating musical storytelling.

Hand-Selected Artisans & Unique Finds

With over 40 hand-selected vendors, the Secret Garden maintains an authentic Renaissance atmosphere. Highlights include:

• Whimsical Art: From the narrative-driven illustrations of Emily Bandell to the polymer clay creatures of Rúnda Realms and the "Amigurumi" monsters of I Have No Yarn and Must Crochet.
• Apothecary & Care: Shop handcrafted, ethically sourced goods from Ravens Hollow Apothecary, The Mystical Phoenix, and the D&D-inspired soaps of Copper Cauldron Apothecary.
• Literature & Crafts: Meet local author Emily Cooper, explore the 3D-printed helmets of Costume Crashers, and discover the vibrant wooden art of The Mystical Phoenix.

A Feast Fit for a King

No journey to the Middle Ages is complete without a feast. This year features a massive variety of food trucks and a dedicated Beer Garden.

• Saturday Special: Don’t miss Bagpipe Bites, Oklahoma’s only Scottish food truck. They will be serving authentic meat pies, haggis pasties, and IRN BRU on Saturday, April 25 only!
• Fair Favorites: Enjoy "walking tacos" from Dazzling Concessions, gourmet grilled cheese from Say Cheese OK, and premium snacks from The Smoked Nut Guys.
• Refreshing Sips: Cool down with Kona Ice, Travelin' Tom's Coffee, or a perfectly mixed, undiluted drink from Cocktails2Go.
