About this Event

Inspired by working detection dogs, nose work is a fun search and scenting activity for virtually all dogs and people. This easy-to-learn activity and sport builds confidence and focus in many dogs, and provides a safe way to keep dogs fit and healthy through mental and physical exercise.
The National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW) Education Division's Instructor Certification Program was developed to ensure a standard and quality of instruction that adhered to the founders’ original concepts of training that relied on dogs’ instinctual independent hunting and puzzle solving skills. Today there are instructors in nearly every state of the country, as well as several internationally. These instructors are helping students with all types of training goals for their dogs, including building confidence, social enrichment, high level competition, and most importantly having fun.
