Located in Woodland Veterans Park (just south of Highland on Broadway Street), the layout of the memorial is patterned after a five-point star with each point representing a branch of the military. A 1965 Huey Helicopter is one of the most recognizable wartime helicopters and is proudly mounted above the memorial. The most recent addition to the park is a ten-panel granite wall which is inscribed with the names of every known Oklahoman killed in action since the Spanish-American War.
